FRENCH EXCELLENCE

Luxury lives in the details

All of them. An Empreinte-Moi shirt starts from a pattern drawn to your own measurements, then goes through cutting, assembly, finishing and inspection in our Angers atelier.

EMPREINTE-MOI ATELIER

Our standard

An industrial shirt is sewn in eight minutes. An Empreinte-Moi shirt takes several hours of work spread over three to four weeks. That gap isn't slowness — it's the sum of the steps we refuse to skip.

French seams, invisible to the eye but essential to how a shirt hangs. Low-temperature fused interlinings so the collar keeps its structure wash after wash. Buttons sewn cross-wise with four thread passes rather than machine-stapled.

Our fabrics come from European mills selected one by one: two-ply poplins, oxfords, twills, linens and chambrays. Every reference is washed and pressed before it enters the catalogue. If a cloth pills or loses its shape, it doesn't make the cut.

THREE NON-NEGOTIABLES

What we never compromise on.

  1. 01

    The cloth

Two-ply poplins, oxfords, twills and linens from European mills. Every reference is washed, pressed and worn before it enters the catalogue. No fabric is selected on a swatch alone.

  2. 02

    The cut

Your measurements, not an approximate size. The pattern is redrawn for every order: collar, shoulders, sleeve length and waist are adjusted to the millimetre from the values you give us.

  3. 03

    The finish

French seams, low-temperature interlinings, cross-sewn buttons with four thread passes. A shirt must still hang well after fifty washes, not just on day one.

FROM ORDER TO DELIVERY

Six steps, one atelier.

Nothing is outsourced. From drawing the pattern to folding the finished shirt, everything happens in our Angers atelier.

  1. 01

    Measurement check

An advisor calls you before production to confirm every measurement. It's the best moment to correct a value.

  2. 02

    Pattern drafting

The pattern is redrawn for your body: collar, shoulders, length, waist. No standard size is used.

  3. 03

    Cutting

Cutting is done flat, one piece at a time, to respect the grain and match patterns across seams.

  4. 04

    Assembly

The pieces are assembled by hand: collar, collar stand, cuffs, yoke, placket, front panel if chosen.

  5. 05

    Embroidery

Your initials are embroidered at the chosen position, in the selected typeface and thread colour.

  6. 06

    Inspection and dispatch

Pressing, piece-by-piece quality control, folding and free shipping.

THE ATELIER

The hand behind every shirt

Stylist, seamstress, embroiderer: every shirt passes through identified hands. We make nothing but shirts. If an alteration is needed, the same person picks your piece back up — they know it.
